찬송가371 구주여 광풍이 불어 Master, the tempest is raging

마태복음 8:24 - 26
24. 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나 배가 물결에 덮이게 되었으되 예수께서는 주무시는지라
25. 그 제자들이 나아와 깨우며 이르되 주여 구원하소서 우리가 죽겠나이다
26. 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 무서워하느냐 믿음이 작은 자들아 하시고 곧 일어나사 바람과 바다를 꾸짖으시니 아주 잔잔하게 되거늘

 

1 구주여 광풍이 불어 큰 물결이 일어나

온 하늘이 어둠에 싸여 피할 곳을 모르니

우리가 죽게 된 것을 안 돌아 봅니까

깊은 바다에 빠지게 된 때 주무시려합니까

큰 바람과 물결아 잔잔해 잔잔해

사납게 뛰노는 파도나 저 흉악한 마귀나 아무것도

주 편안히 잠들어 누신 배 뒤엎어 놀 능력이 없도다

주 예수 풍파를 꾸짖어 잔잔해 잔잔해

주 예수 풍파를 꾸짖어 잔잔하라

 

2 구주여 떨리는 내 맘 저 풍랑과 같아서

늘 불안에 싸여서 사니 날 붙들어 주소서

세상의 풍파가 나를 삼키려 합니다

지금 죽게 된 날 돌아보사 곧 구원해 주소서

큰 바람과 물결아 잔잔해 잔잔해

사납게 뛰노는 파도나 저 흉악한 마귀나 아무것도

주 편안히 잠들어 누신 배 뒤엎어 놀 능력이 없도다

주 예수 풍파를 꾸짖어 잔잔해 잔잔해

3 사나운 광풍이 자고 큰 물결이 그치니

그 잔잔한 바다와 같이 내 마음이 편하다

구주여 늘 함께 계셔 떠나지 마소서

복된 항구에 즐거이 가서 그 언덕에 쉬리라

큰 바람과 물결아 잔잔해 잔잔해

사납게 뛰노는 파도나 저 흉악한 마귀나 아무것도

주 편안히 잠들어 누신 배 뒤엎어 놀 능력이 없도다

24. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

1 Master, the tempest is raging! The billows are tossing high!

The sky is o'er shadowed with blackness, No shelter or help is nigh;

Carest Thou not that we perish? How canst Thou lie asleep,

When each moment so madly is threat'ning A grave in the angry deep?

"The winds and the waves shall obey My will, Peace, be still!

Whether the wrath of the stormtossed sea, Or demons, or men or whatever it be,

No water can swallow the ship where lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies:

They all shall sweetly obey My will: Peace, be still! Peace, be still!

They all shall sweetly obey My will; Peace, peace, be still."

 

2 Master, with anguish of spirit I bow in my grief today;

The depths of my sad heart are troubled, O waken and save, I pray;

Torrents of sin and of anguish Sweep o'er my sinking soul!

And I perish! I perish, dear Master; O hasten, and take control.

"The winds and the waves shall obey My will, Peace, be still!

Whether the wrath of the stormtossed sea, Or demons, or men or whatever it be,

No water can swallow the ship where lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies:

They all shall sweetly obey My will: Peace, be still! Peace, be still!

3 Master, the terror is over, The elements sweetly rest;

Earth's sun in the calm lake is mirrored, And heaven's within my breast.

Linger, O blessed Redeemer, Leave me alone no more;

And with joy I shall make the blest harbor; And rest on the blissful shore.
