마태복음 2:6
6. 또 유대 땅 베들레헴아 너는 유대 고을 중에서 가장 작지 아니하도다 네게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와서 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되리라 하였음이니이다

 

1 오 베들레헴 작은 골 너 잠들었느냐

별들만 높이 빛나고 잠잠히 있으니

저 놀라운 빛 지금 캄캄한 이 밤에

온 하늘 두루 비춘 줄 너 어찌 모르나

 

2 온 세상 모든 사람들 잠자는 동안에

평화의 왕이 세상에 탄생 하셨도다

저 새벽별이 홀로 그 일을 아는 듯

밤새껏 귀한 그 일을 말 없이 지켰네

 

3 오 놀라우신 하나님 큰 선물 주시니

주 믿는 사람 마음에 큰 은혜 받도다

이 죄악 세상 사람 주 오심 모르나

주 영접하는 사람들 그 맘에 오시네

 

4 오 베들레헴 예수님 내 맘에 오셔서

내 죄를 모두 사하고 늘 함께 하소서

저 천사들의 소식 나 기뻐 들이니

오 임마누엘 예수님 내 맘에 오소서

6. And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

1 O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie;

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by:

Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light:

The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.

 

2 For Christ is born of Mary; And gathered all above,

While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wond'ring love.

O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth;

And praises sing to God the King, And peace to men on earth!

 

3 How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is given!

So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heaven.

No ear may hear His coming, But in this world of sin,

Where meek souls will receive Him still, The dear Christ enters in.

 

4 O holy Child of Bethlehem! Descend to us, we pray;

Cast out our sin, and enter in; Be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels The great glad tidings tell;

O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel.
