찬송가277 양떼를 떠나서 I was a wand'ring sheep

베드로전서 2:25
25. 너희가 전에는 양과 같이 길을 잃었더니 이제는 너희 영혼의 목자와 감독 되신 이에게 돌아왔느니라

 

1 양 떼를 떠나서 길 잃어 버린 나

목자의 소리 싫어서 먼 길로 나갔네

방탕한 이 몸은 큰 불효 행하여

아버지 음성 싫어서 먼 길로 나갔네

 

2 양 잃은 목자는 그 양을 찾으러

산 넘고 강을 건너며 사막을 지났네

갈 길을 모르고 나 지쳐 있을 때

그 목자 마침 나타나 날 구원하셨네

 

3 내 목자 예수는 날 사랑하셔서

그 피로 나를 씻으사 온전케 하셨네

길 잃은 양 찾아 큰 위로 주시고

그 우리 안에서 이끌어 늘 보호하시네

 

4 양 떼를 떠나서 맘 대로 다녔네

나 목자 음성 들으며 그 길을 따르리

나 이제 후로는 방황치 않으며

내 아버지의 집에서 영원히 살겠네

25. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1 I was a wand'ring sheep, I did not love the fold;

I did not love my shepherd's voice, I would not be controlled.

I was a wayward child, I did not love my home;

I did not love my Father's voice, I loved afar to roam.

 

2 The shepherd sought His sheep, The Father sought His child;

They followed me o'er vale and hill, O'er deserts waste and wild;

They found me nigh to death, Famished and faint and lone;

They bound me with the bands of love, They saved the wand'ring one.

 

3 Jesus my Shepherd is, 'Twas He that loved my soul,

'Twas He that washed me in His blood, 'Twas He that made me whole;

'Twas He that sought the lost, That found the wand'ring sheep,

'Twas He that brought me to the fold, 'Tis He that still doth keep.

 

4 No more a wand'ring sheep, I love to be controll'd;

I love my tender Shepherd's voice, I love, the peaceful fold.

No more a wayward child, I seek no more to roam;

I love my heav'nly Father's voice, I love, I love His home.
