찬송가447 이 세상 끝날까지 O Jesus, I have promised

요한복음 12:26
26. 사람이 나를 섬기려면 나를 따르라 나 있는 곳에 나를 섬기는 자도 거기 있으리니 사람이 나를 섬기면 내 아버지께서 그를 귀히 여기시리라

 

1 이 세상 끝 날까지 주 섬겨 살리니

내 친구 되신 주여 늘 함께 하소서

주 나와 함께 하면 전쟁도 겁 없고

주 나를 인도하면 늘 안심하리라

 

2 나 주를 따를 때에 주 약속하신 것

그 영광 중에 모두 이루어 주소서

나 주의 뒤를 따라 섬기며 살리니

그 크신 은혜 속에 날 인도하소서

 

3 이 세상 온갖 시험 내 맘을 흔들고

저 악한 원수들이 안팎에 있으나

주 나를 돌보시사 내 방패되시고

내 옆에 계신 것을 늘 알게 하소서

 

4 저 영광 빛난 곳을 주 허락했으니

그 허락하신 곳을 늘 사모합니다

끝까지 쉬지 않고 주 따라 가리니

주 넓은 사랑으로 늘 인도하소서

26. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

1 O Jesus, I have promised To serve Thee to the end;

Be Thou forever near me, My Master and my Friend:

I shall not fear the battle If Thou art by my side,

Nor wander from the pathway If Thou wilt be my Guide.

 

2 O Jesus, while I follow According to Thy word;

Fulfill each precious promise In glory as I've heard;

And still I'll follow after, To serve Thee all my day,

If Thou, in grace abounding But lead me in the way.

 

3 O let me feel Thee near me, The world is ever near;

I see the sights that dazzle, The tempting sounds I hear;

My foes are ever near me, Around me and within;

But, Jesus, draw Thou nearer, And shield my soul from sin.

 

4 O Jesus, Thou hast promised To all who follow Thee,

That where Thou art in glory There shalt Thy servant be;

And, Jesus, I have promised To serve Thee to the end;

O, give me grace to follow, My Master and my Friend.
