마태복음 8:24
24. 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나 배가 물결에 덮이게 되었으되 예수께서는 주무시는지라

 

1 큰 물결이 설레는 어둔 바다

저 등대의 불빛도 희미한데

이 풍랑에 배 저어 항해하는

이 작은 배 사공은 주님이라

나 두렴 없네 두렴 없도다

주 예수님 늘 깨어 계시도다

이 흉흉한 바다를 다 지나면

저 소망의 나라에 이르리라

 

2 큰 풍랑이 이 배를 위협하며

저 깊은 물 입 별려 달려드나

이 바다에 노 저어 항해하는

이 작은 배 사공은 주님이라

나 두렴 없네 두렴 없도다

주 예수님 늘 깨어 계시도다

이 흉흉한 바다를 다 지나면

저 소망의 나라에 이르리라

 

3 큰 소리로 물결을 명하시면

이 바다는 고요히 잠자리라

저 동녘이 환하게 밝아올 때

나 주 함께 이 바다 건너가리

나 두렴 없네 두렴 없도다

주 예수님 늘 깨어 계시도다

이 흉흉한 바다를 다 지나면

저 소망의 나라에 이르리라

 

24. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

1 With Christ as my Pilot though billows be high,

Though dim be the lighthouse and dark sea and sky,

With Christ at the helm ev'ry gale we endure,

For Jesus the Savior is my Pilot sure.

I nothing can fear! I nothing can dread!

For Jesus keeps watch here, and by Him I'm led.

My seas may be rough, but when voy'ges are past,

My haven of hope will be heaven at last.

 

2 Though tempests may threaten the craft and the crew,

And wide gape the jaws of the deep for me, too,

With Christ at the oar I am safe in His will,

And Jesus the Savior is my Pilot still.

I nothing can fear! I nothing can dread!

For Jesus keeps watch here, and by Him I'm led.

My seas may be rough, but when voy'ges are past,

My haven of hope will be heaven at last.

 

3 If Jesus but speak, in His voice of great pow'r

The billows must sleep and be still from that hour.

And I, at the brightness of dawning, shall be,

With Jesus, my Pilot, safe over the sea.

I nothing can fear! I nothing can dread!

For Jesus keeps watch here, and by Him I'm led.
