20. 이에 일어나서 아버지께로 돌아가니라 아직도 거리가 먼데 아버지가 그를 보고 측은히 여겨 달려가 목을 안고 입을 맞추니

지은 죄가 아무리 무겁고 크기로

주 어찌 못 담당하고 못 받으시리요

우리 주의 넓은 가슴은 하늘 보다 넓고 넓어

우리 주는 날마다 기다리신다오

밤마다 문 열어 놓고 마음 졸이시며

나간 자식 돌아 오기만 밤새 기다리신다오

채찍 맞아 아파도 주님의 손으로

때리시고 어루만져 위로해 주시는

우리 주의 넓은 품으로 어서 돌아오오 어서

 

20. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

 

1 O, come home, don't delay! Only come back home today!

Can our sins, however great, However stark and grave

Prove more than Jesus can carry Who came to seek and save?

Broader far is Jesus' ample breast 'Then is heaven, from East to west!

For our Savior, ev'ry day, Stands waiting there for you,

And nightly, door standing open, He waits the darkness through;

Though the Lord chastize with pain, Though heavy seem His hand,

He wounds and He gives the healing, Consoles and makes to stand.

Our Lord spreads wide His arms for you; Do come quickly! Come home; come home!
