찬송가457 겟세마네 동산의 Go to dark Gethsemane

마태복음 26:36
36. 이에 예수께서 제자들과 함께 겟세마네라 하는 곳에 이르러 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 저기 가서 기도할 동안에 너희는 여기 앉아 있으라 하시고

 

1 겟세마네 동산의 주를 생각 할 때에

근심이나 걱정을 외면 할 수 있을까

나를 항상 버리고 주를 따라 가리라

 

2 빌라도의 뜰에선 주를 생각 할 때에

수치됨과 아픈 것 못 견딜 수 있을까

길이 참고 묵묵히 주를 따라 가리라

 

3 갈보리 산 올라간 주를 생각 할 때에

나의 받는 괴롬을 비교 할 수 없으리

십자가를 지고서 주를 따라 가리라

 

4 무덤에서 부활한 주를 생각 할 때에

환난이나 죽음도 두려울 것 없으리

승전가를 부르며 주를 따라 가리라

 

36. Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

1 Go to dark Gethsemane, Ye that feel the tempter's pow'r;

Your Redeemer's conflict see; Watch with Him one bitter hour;

Turn not from His griefs away; Learn of Jesus Christ to pray.

 

2 Follow to the judgment hall; View the Lord of life arraign'd

O the wormwood and the gall! O the pangs His soul sustained!

Shun not suff'ring, shame or loss; Learn of Him to bear the cross.

 

3 Calv'ry's mournful mountain climb; There, adoring at His feet,

Mark that miracle of time, God's own sacrificecomplete.

"It is finished!" hear Him cry; Learn of Jesus Christ to die.

 

4 Early hasten to the tomb Where they laid His breathless clay:

All is solitude and gloom; Who hath taken Him away?

Christ is ris'n! He meets our eyes. Savior, teach us so to rise.
